Biography
William Henry Cavendish-Bentinck, 4th Duke of Portland, was born 24 June 1768 in Welbeck Abbey, Nottinghamshire, England, United Kingdom to William Henry Bentinck, 3rd Duke of Portland (1738-1809) and Dorothy Cavendish (1750-1794) and died 27 March 1854 Welbeck Abbey, Nottinghamshire, England, United Kingdom of unspecified causes. He married Henrietta Scott (1774-1844) 4 August 1795 .
At the time of his marriage he obtained Royal Licence to take the name and arms of Scott in addition to that of Cavendish-Bentinck.
