William James Wall was born 3 August 1855 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia to George Wall (c1822-1897) and Ann Williams (c1826-1906) and died 14 May 1938 Bent-street, Macksville, New South Wales, Australia of unspecified causes. He married Serene Unicomb (1859-1927) 18 April 1877 in Manning River, New South Wales, Australia.

Obituary
There passed away at his residence, Bent-street, Macksville, on Saturday evening last ,Mr. William James Wall, aged 82 years. Born on the Hunter River, deceased was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William G. Wall. He was married at Jones' Island at the age of 21 years to Miss Serene Unicomb, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Unicomb.
After his marriage he went into a bakery business at Cundletown, thence on to Landsdowne, where he went on the land, and from there to Bellingen. Leaving that centre he opened a butchery and bakery business at Bellingen, and later removed to the Nambucca, where he had resided for the past 42 years. During his residence at the latter centre he was a Director of the Nambucca Dairying Company, and was a devoted adherent and supporter of the Methodist faith, in which interest he did faithful and conscientious work. He is survived by a family of six daughters and six sons, and there are also 63 grandchildren and 61 great-grandchildren. The daughters are Mesdames W. R. Donnelly (Warrell Creek), T. P. Gosling (Coff's Harbour), R. S. Wright (Lower Nambucca), E. Turnbull (Kempsey), C. J. Stuart (Nambucca Heads), G Gosling (Tewinga) and the sons Messrs. William George (Lower Nambucca), Andrew James (Lower Nambucca), Arthur Williams (Congarinni), Clarence (Macksville), Frederick (Lower Nambucca) and Archibald (Congarinni). Mr. John Wall, of King's Point, Macksville, is a brother, and Mesdames R. Whatson (Wauchope), C. Saville (Taree) and C. Hammond (Nambucca Heads) are sisters of the deceased. The funeral, under the direction of Mr. Jos. T. Walker, took place on Sunday after noon last from the Methodist Church, Macksville, where Rev. W. E. Beasley conducted a service at which Mr. Harry Bragg presided at the organ and played the "Dead March in Saul." The cortege then proceeded to the Macksville Methodist cemetery, where the remains were interred in the presence of a large assemblage.
