William Livingston was born 30 November 1723 in Albany, Albany County, New York, United States to Philip Livingston (1686-1749) and Catherine van Brugh (1689-1756) and died 25 July 1790 Elizabeth, Union County, New Jersey, United States of unspecified causes. He married Susanna French (1723-1789) 1745 in New Jersey, United States.
He was an American politician who served as the Governor of New Jersey (1776–1790) during the American Revolutionary War and was a signer of the United States Constitution.
