William McKinley (January 29, 1843 – September 14, 1901) was the twenty-fifth President of the United States, and the last veteran of the American Civil War to be elected.

William McKinley, President of the USA, was born 29 January 1843 in Niles, Ohio, United States to William McKinley (1807-1892) and Nancy Campbell Allison (1809-1897) and died 14 September 1901 Buffalo, New York, United States of unspecified causes. He married Ida Saxton (1847-1907) 25 January 1871 in Canton, Stark County, Ohio, United States.
