Mr. William Mullard, of 6 Loftus street, West Maltland, one of the oldest residents of the Maitland district, died in the Maitland Hospital last evening, after several days illness.
The late Mr. Mullard had reached the ripe old age of 81 years.

He saw active service in the Boer War, and was regarded as an excellent marksman.
Despite his age, deceased had a very retentive memory, and often spoke interestingly of early life in the Maitland district.
