William "Chuck" Ross Schwendel, 61, died Jan. 29, 2011, at St. Lucie Medical Center, Port St. Lucie. He was born in Jersey City, N.J., and lived in Port St. Lucie for more than 40 years, coming from Plainfield, N.J. He worked in construction for various companies. Survivors include his mother, Winifred Schwendel of Fort Pierce; daughters, Melinda Gleason of Miami and Lisa Schwendel of Los Angles; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, William Paul Schwendel; and a sister. Memorial contributions may be made to the Indian River Presbyterian Church, 2499 Virginia Ave., Fort Pierce, FL 34982. Services: A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Feb. 4 at Indian River Presbyterian Church, Fort Pierce. Arrangements are by Aycock Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
