William Turner was born 24 April 1871 in Brundee, New South Wales, Australia to John Turner (1838-1871) and Mary Jane Crawford (1841-1918) and died 21 May 1952 Lismore, New South Wales, Australia of unspecified causes. He married Ada Pauline Jarrett (1874-1962) 10 January 1894 in Nowra, New South Wales, Australia.

Obituary
One of the best known residents of the Bangalow district, Mr. William Turner (80), of Newrybar, died in Lismore last night. Born at Brundee, on the Shoalhaven River, Mr. Turner had lived, in the Richmond River district for over 55 years.
First residing for about 18 months at Alstonville, Mr. Turner had lived the remainder of the period at Newrybar. A member of the Bangalow Bowling club and a bowler of ability, Mr. Turner was well known among the clubs of the Northern Rivers. He had always been an ardent Methodist until prevented by advancing years of active participation in church matters. He was for many years a trustee of the Newrybar Methodist Church.
Mr.Turner married at Nowra Hill Miss Ada Jarrett, who survives him. In addition, there are four sons and four daughters. The sons are Messrs. Leslie Turner (Mareeba, Qld.), Roy (Maryborough), Clarrie (Lismore), and Norman (Byron Bay), and the daughters are Mrs. W. Davidson (Gayndah, Qld.), Mrs. A. Knowles and Mrs. W. Carmichael (Millaa Millaa, Qld), and Mrs. B. Davis (Cairns, Qld.). The funeral will leave the Methodist Church, Bangalow, tomorrow after a service commencing at 1.30 p.m., for the Bangalow cemetery.
