William Weeks was born circa 1628 in Devonshire, England to George Weeks (1598-1659) and Jane Clapp (1598-1668) and died 18 July 1690 Falmouth, Barnstable County, Massachusetts of unspecified causes. He married Joan Mure (1630-1718) .

He was the son of George Weeks/Weekes and Jane (Clapp) Weeks who came to New England before 1639.

He married a woman named Elizabeth. After William's death, she married Timothy Mather on Mar 20,1678/9 as his second wife. Elizabeth died on Feb 20,1709/10.

Children: John Weeks, Elizabeth Weeks Henley, Mary Weeks White, William Weeks Jr, George Weeks, Renew Weeks Carpenter, Jane Weeks Blackman, George Weeks, Sarah Weeks Macomb, Hannah Weeks, Samuel Weeks, and Submit Weeks Cook.

He was admitted as freeman May 3, 1665, land granted by town of Dorchester 1652; held minor town offices.
