Yaropolk Izyaslavich of Shumsk, Prince of Shumsk, Prince of Busk, was born 1129 to Izyaslav II Mstislavich of Kiev (c1097-1154) and Agnes of the Holy Roman Empire (c1116-1151) and died 5 December 1168 Tumashch of unspecified causes.

Yaropolk Izyaslavich (baptized Stefan ,c1129-March 7, 1168[1]), Prince of Busk and Shumsk (1157-1168), son of Grand Prince of Kiev Izyaslav II, great-grandson of Vladimir II Monomakh.

In 1149, he participated with his father in the Battle of Pereyaslavl on the river Trubezhy near Pereyaslav against the Prince of Suzdal Yuri Dovgoruky.

In 1159, with his brother Mstislav Prince of Volhynia, he took part in the march of Rostislav Mstislavich of Smolensk against Yuri Yaroslavich of Turov, in 1161 against Izyaslav Davydovich .

From 1166 he was married to the daughter of Svyatoslav Olgovich of Chernigov Maria (1149-1189). Known is the son of Vasilko , whose supposed date of birth probalby from first marriage.

In 1167 he fought against the Polovtsians

He died on March 7, 1168 in the city of Tumashch was buried in the Saint Theodor Monastery, Kiev, bext tp his father [2].
